TROUBLE IN RUNNING

ATULLIBIGEAL (G173) jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 625.

WONDER KIT (G455) when questioned regarding his riding in the early part of the Home Straight and the reason he shifted to the outside of a runner, rider stated that after following that runner, his initial decision was to improve to that runner's inside. He said as he commenced to do so near the 400M, his mount did not immediately respond to his riding and when he then was concerned that that runner would shift in, crowding his running and halting his momentum, he then elected near the 350M to shift to the outside of runners to obtain clear running. He added that when being shifted out, his mount brushed the eventual winner before finishing the race off well. Whilst rider conceded that the run had remained open to the inside of the aforementioned runner in the Home Straight, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by rider in the circumstances were reasonable having regard to the explanations he provided - Race 625.

SUPREME LUCKY (G457) raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1100M got its head up when being steadied. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 625.
