Race Five : (115) - TIN HA SHAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FLYING DRAGON (E360) H Bentley When questioned, H Bentley stated that his mount hung out making the first turn and continued to do so throughout the middle stages.
He added that FLYING DRAGON failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was most disappointing.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of FLYING DRAGON was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, FLYING DRAGON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 MEGA BONUS (E184) Y L Chung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 MAGIC SUPREME (D144) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 PODIUM (H173) A Badel When questioned, A Badel stated that when positioned tight to the outside of FLYING DRAGON passing the 700 Metres, PODIUM hung out and as a result was checked when racing tight to the inside of ACA POWER.
He added, in his view, his mount may be better suited over a longer distance but is still somewhat immature.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 MR ALADDIN (H386) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Near the 350 Metres became unbalanced and shifted in when placed under pressure.
Horse No 8 KILLER INSTINCT (G020) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 COOL BLUE (H011) Z Purton Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied when endeavouring to improve into a narrow run between FLYING DRAGON and PODIUM which lay out.
Lay out in the Home Straight.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 11 STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186) K Teetan From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After straightening nearly two lengths on top after claiming the lead 500m out, Magic Supreme kept finding prompting the pace on the fence for a fifth career win and third on the surface. He was able to build on an OK effort last month at the Valley. Fast Buck couldn't quite reel in the winner after a prominent run on the fence. He relished a step back to 1,200m after going OK in runs once on each surface to start the campaign. Strive For Glory ran on well from the rear of the field to finish third without threatening the top two. It was his best run from four goes over the dirt 1,200m but he had run well in both straight 1,000m runs this term. Favourite Cool Blue ran on well from towards the rear to win a battle for fourth. It was another honest effort on the surface. Aca Power made headway late with one wider out to just miss fourth from behind midfield. He rarely produces a bad run on this surface but is better suited down in Class Five. Killer Instinct made ground late without threatening after a patient ride second last from an awkward gate. He couldn't back up an opening win carrying six pounds more.
