Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (831) - BIG PROFIT HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
WOOD ON FIRE jumped only fairly and then was crowded between SPANGLE FORTUNE and DARCI LEGEND which jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
DIAMOND DIAMOND jumped awkwardly.
JUNE PLANET jumped only fairly.
From wide barriers, PO ON WAY and MELBOURNE HALL were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
On straightening, ALL RICHES lay in and became unbalanced.
PUBLICIST was held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres.
Approaching the 400 Metres, WOOD ON FIRE became held up behind MASTER HERO and did not obtain clear running until near the 250 Metres.
Approaching the 300 Metres, MELBOURNE HALL had difficulty obtaining clear running behind DARCI LEGEND.
After shifting to the inside of DARCI LEGEND, MELBOURNE HALL again had difficulty obtaining clear running when held up behind ALL RICHES near the 150 Metres when that runner commenced to give ground.
As a result, MELBOURNE HALL did not obtain clear running until approaching the 100 Metres.
BRAVE AND BOLD raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection of ALL RICHES, MELBOURNE HALL, PUBLICIST and DARCI LEGEND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JUNE PLANET, PARTERRE and MASTER HERO were sent for sampling.

Parterre scrambled home for his first Hong Kong win on his 19th local start after stalking the pace and hitting the lead 400m out. He had put the writing on the wall last time following his downgrade. Master Hero burst between runners late to make it close on the wire. He has threatened to salute in four of his five starts since he dropped in class. Favourite June Planet ran on well for third after his wide trip with cover towards the rear. He is racing very well without winning. Wide Blue Yonder came up one-paced after his one-out, one-back run. He is an honest performer in Class Four. Po On Way came from last to finish the next best on his step up to 1,400m, He is still a work in progress. Punted late, Publicist only plodded after getting every chance in the box seat. He disappointed his supporters under Zac Purton. Wood On Fire made some ground without threatening the placegetters after making his run five back on the fence.
