Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (536) - SILVERMINE BAY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
VIVA HUNTER jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
YES WE CAN also jumped awkwardly, shifted out and brushed SO WE JOY.
HAVA NAGEELA jumped only fairly and then raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1200 Metres was steadied away from SKYEY SUPREME.
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres, SO WE JOY had difficulty securing clear running.
A veterinary inspection of ROMANTIC COMBO and ROYAL BOMB immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HAVA NAGEELA and MALDIVES were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite Hava Nageela won geared down after cruising to the lead 300m out from the box seat for a first win at his sixth local start. He was able to build on a second last start over 1,600m. Maldives just edged Yes We Can for second after a handy run. He appreciated a switch to the dirt. Yes We Can made a steady bid from midfield to just miss the quinella spot. He's honest as the day is long on this surface. So We Joy came from towards the rear to fill the frame. It was another honest performance on this surface but the big weight continues to take its toll. Viva Hunter ran on well to finish next best after travelling last after a slow start. He had an excuse. Skyey Supreme had nothing left in the tank after getting his own way in front from gate two. He's a Class Four horse. Royal Bomb didn't fire after slotting one off travelling behind midfield from the widest gate. He likely prefers a faster surface. Romantic Combo weakened to finish last after a wide trip without cover better than midfield.
