Recap by phillip woo

Jiangxi Stamina came with a barnstorming move down the outside to win going away 50m out after a patient ride fifth last. He was suited by the step back in distance. Kokushi Musou found one too good after a prominent run on the fence. He was able to back up a last-start win carrying eight pounds more. Farshad dashed well after a wide run with cover behind midfield to nearly take second. He's well rated and relished a step back to the distance of an earlier placing in Class Three. Harrier Jet stayed on a non-threatening fourth after making his run deep with cover better than midfield from a middle gate. The 10-year-old has shown a bit more fight in his past few starts. Quorum came from near last to earn some minor prize money. It was his best run to date from four starts. Heavenly Thought closed off reasonably well after switching back to the fence for a clear run near the 200m following a patient ride at the rear of the field. Hero Star was stopping 100m out after getting his own way in front. It was a disappointing effort. Fabulous Eight weakened after a pace-stalking run. He didn't get he 1,200m. Peak To Peak was held up for most of the straight after a handy run one-off the fence.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (564) - LAMBETH HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

UNITED ENDEAVORS lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and consequently was slow to begin.

QUORUM began only fairly.

From wide barriers, HEAVENLY THOUGHT, FABULOUS EIGHT and TAKINGUFURTHER were steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

For some distance after the 400 Metres, PEAK TO PEAK was checked away from the heels of FABULOUS EIGHT.

FABULOUS EIGHT then lay out making the Home Turn.

PEAK TO PEAK continued to be awkwardly placed close to the heels of FABULOUS EIGHT and was checked away from the heels of that horse after the 300 Metres.

PEAK TO PEAK then had difficulty obtaining clear running until the concluding stages and because of this was not able to be properly tested.

Approaching the 200 Metres, HEAVENLY THOUGHT was shifted in away from the heels of PEAK TO PEAK.

Throughout the race, COMMON ROOM travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.

A veterinary inspection of FABULOUS EIGHT, COMMON ROOM and PEAK TO PEAK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

JIANGXI STAMINA and KOKUSHI MUSOU were sent for sampling.
