Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (12) - CHUNG HOM KOK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
TAKINGUFURTHER began awkwardly.
CHATER PINS began awkwardly and bumped the inside of its barrier stall on jumping, resulting in the horse losing ground.
DAILY BEAUTY was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
From wide barriers, WOOD ON FIRE and DESTIN were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, MAN UP, which was racing greenly, got its head on the side and shifted in and was checked away from the heels of MELBOURNE HALL.
Despite being ridden along for some distance in the early stages, FANTASTIC FABIO failed to muster speed and throughout the race travelled wide and without cover.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, TAKINGUFURTHER was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of BEAUTY AMIGO.
DAILY BEAUTY brushed the running rail making the turn near the 550 Metres and then was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MAN UP which shifted in marginally.
After the race, K C Leung stated that after travelling in a satisfactory position behind the speed, BEAUTY AMIGO came off the bridle near the 500 Metres and, despite being ridden along rounding the Home Turn and in the Straight, did not finish off the race.
A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY AMIGO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, J Moreira advised that he was not able to offer any valid reasons for the disappointing performance of ROMANTIC TROVE.

It was noted that MANAGEMENT SUPREME was found to be coughing in the sampling stalls after the race.
An endoscopic examination of MANAGEMENT SUPREME did not reveal any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of HAPPY PROFIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MANAGEMENT SUPREME, WOOD ON FIRE and MELBOURNE HALL were sent for sampling.

Wood On Fire showed a good turn of foot to get up in deep stretch after peeling into the open 300m out following a patient ride one off behind midfield from a tricky gate. He has solid form over this course and distance at this level and was given a terrific ride by Karis Teetan. Sensationally-backed Melbourne Hall did everything right after a one-off run in midfield but found just one too good in the run to the wire. He's always a chance sprinting over this course. Favourite Management Supreme claimed Happy Profit along the fence for the lead 800m out, straightening two lengths on top and was just swamped late. Specked late Chater Pins ran on steadily near the inside to fill the frame after settling midfield on the fence after a slow start. He doesn't appear far off a bottom. Takingufurther just held his ground after a prominent run along the inside. It wasn't a bad effort. Destin was doing some nice work late down the outside without menacing from the rear of the field. He's better suited over a longer trip. Happy Profit was stopping 150m out after going forward to make the running one off the fence from a wide gate. He had an excuse. Beauty Amigo disappointed after chasing the speed one off the fence in third.
