Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (502) - OSMANTHUS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
SMART THINKER and SHINING ON began only fairly.
From wide barriers, TOP MILITARY and PRIME TIME were steadied and shifted across behind runners soon after the start.
QIPAO BOSS raced wide and without cover until the 700 Metres at which stage DR PROACTIVE was left racing wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of DR PROACTIVE and QIPAO BOSS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WOOD ON FIRE, EXCEPTIONAL DESIRE and CONFUCIUS DAY were sent for sampling.

Well-backed to nearly jump favourite Exceptional Desire cut down long-time leader Confucius Day 50m out after settling box-seat for a fourth career win. He had been knocking on the door in recent runs and was attractively rated carrying a light weight. Confucius Day did everything right but get the win leading from gate six. He's as honest as the day is long but can't get that elusive win on the board. Favourite Wood On Fire got going from midfield to fill a placing but was no match for the Quinella pair. He can bob up at any moment after placing in three of eight starts. Happy Warrior ran on steadily fore of midfield to fill the frame without menacing the placegetters. The big weight anchored him yet again. Punted late Shining On came from towards to rear to pick up a minor cheque. He requires a stronger pace. After Me ran on without menacing near the outside from behind midfield. He spotted the leaders too much of a head start.
