Ex-NBA star Jeremy Lin ‘feeling a lot better’ after Covid-19 positive ahead of Chinese basketball return

Lin flew to Shanghai from San Francisco earlier this month and tested positive on his third day of quarantine despite being double vaccinated and having two negative tests prior to departure.
“Whatuppp everyone,” Lin wrote in an Instagram post. “Its been a bit. Im feeling a lot better and am continuing to appreciate the care out here in Shanghai.
“Its been a time of recovery, self-reflection and rest. As soon as I test consistently negative I leave the covid facility to restart my 14 day hotel quarantine,” he wrote. Lin will turn 33 next week.
Lin has returned to China after re-signing for the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association.
The 32-year-old played for the Beijingers in the 2019-20 season taking them to the play-offs before returning to the US last year to take another shot at playing in the NBA.

Nine-year NBA veteran Lin starred for the Golden State Warriors affiliated Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G League but failed to find a contract in the NBA.

Lin also posted in Chinese to his fans on his Twitter-like Weibo account.

“Thank you for your concern for me,” his message began. “Now my symptoms are almost gone, I believe I can return to the hotel to continue isolation soon. The most important thing is to thank these great medical workers for their hard work day and night. Everyone must not be careless, and continue to protect yourself when you go out!”
“The new CBA season is set to start on October 16 though it remains unclear whether foreign players will be allowed to play. Lin, who has a Taiwanese passport, may be able to register as a domestic player.”
