Watches and Wonders today announced that the world’s definitive convention of high horology will host its third-ever Shanghai edition from September 13 to 17 this year, after previously visiting the city in 2021 and 2020. The first edition of Watches and Wonders Shanghai came as that year’s main Geneva event was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, per Monochrome Watches.

The fair will host 14 brands at the newly redesigned Pavilion at the West Bund Art Center, which will be open to the visiting public for the very first time on September 16 and 17. Tickets will be up for sale in August at US$20 (150 RMB) per head via a WeChat mini-programme, according to a release from Watches and Wonders.

Many of these houses already presented stunning releases for the Geneva edition in March. Cartier released the Tank Normale as the seventh and latest addition to the Cartier Privé collection alongside a dazzling update to the Clash Unlimited, and Panerai released several new editions for its Radiomir collection including a much-loved California dial version.

Jaeger-LeCoultre jumped onto two trends with a sautoir Reverso Secret Necklace and Reverso Tribute Chronograph with retrograde minute counter complication. Vacheron Constantin put forward three retrograde pieces of its own for its signature Overseas, Traditionnelle and Patrimony collections, and IWC Schaffhausen revived a Gérald Genta design in the form of the Ingenieur.
