Britney Spears is about to get a lot more money in her pocket thanks to The Woman in Me.
That percentage is expected to cover Spears’ reported US$12.5 million advance, according to insiders.
The book has already flown off the shelves, with over 400,000 copies being sold thus far.
Spears reportedly went through periods where she had no desire to write – let alone finish – penning the memoir, though she was ultimately persuaded to do so by best pal and manager Cade Hudson, as sources told the outlet. Hudson even got a nod in the acknowledgement of the book.

The pop icon’s reluctance might have had something to do with the “heart-wrenching” experience she had revisiting the moments laid out in the book.
Earlier this month, Simon & Schuster Audio announced that Spears would only read the intro of the audiobook, with the rest voiced by five-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams.
“This book has been a labour of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Spears said in a statement to People at the time. “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.”
