Last week, The Messenger ran a story reporting that Swift and Kelce had been spending time together in New York City, although keeping a low profile. Fans have since been eager to decipher any clues or hints to determine if they are, in fact, in a romantic relationship.
Fortunately for fans, encoded messages seem to be a Swift trademark. On a recent night out, the “Bejewelled” songstress wore a teardrop-shaped pendant set with an opal – coincidentally the birthstone for Libra, which is Kelce’s zodiac sign, per reports.
Then, on September 20, Kelce’s big bro Jason set the internet alight with his comments about the potential romance on the Wip Morning Show: “It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about what’s happening with Travis’ love life,” Jason said. “But having said that, man, I think they’re doing great, and I think it’s all 100 per cent true.” He later added, “No, I’m joking, I don’t know what’s happening.”

If they are indeed dating though, this could mark the beginning of a new chapter in Swift’s musical career, given her penchant for incorporating themes of romance into her songwriting.
Travis Kelce apparently made the first move
To make his move more memorable, he went the extra mile by crafting a unique friendship bracelet that included his contact information, recognising that exchanging bracelets is a common practice among attendees at Swift’s concerts.
Sadly, he was unable to give it, per Men’s Health. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he said on his New Heights podcast. “So I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
He’s an NFL superstar
Swift may be a musical superstar but Kelce is celeb royalty too, since he’s a famous NFL player. At 33, the same age as Swift, the Ohio-born athlete is an American football tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Beyond American football, Kelce has dabbled in showbiz as well. The two-time Super Bowl champion starred in his own reality TV dating show Catching Kelce in 2016. It featured the sportsman trying to find love among a group of 50 women, each from a different state in the US, per The Kansas City Star. Or, as StyleCaster puts it, he once “dated 50 women at the same time” to find “the one”.

There was also speculation that the sports star might be seeing Megan Thee Stallion after pics of them at the Country Music Awards came to light.

Even NFL commentators have been weighing in on the romance too. On September 17, NFL announcer Ian Eagle referenced Swift after Kelce scored his first regular season touchdown: “Kelce finds a blank space for the score!” he said, referencing Swift’s No 1 single “Blank Space”.
