Social media has been overtaken by micro-beauty trends – from Tik Tok to Instagram, all anyone can see on their “For You” page are content creators raving about the latest beauty purchase that “you absolutely have to buy”.
But which of the hundreds of influencer-endorsed products do you actually need in your make-up bag?
From the plethora of 2023’s most viral products, Style’s editors have hand-picked the ones that have been vouched for by celebrities and their make-up artists.

3. Milk Makeup’s Hydro Grip primer
TikTok’s latest hack for a long-lasting and flawless make-up base is the award-winning Milk Makeup’s Hydro Grip primer, which promises (and delivers!) a 12-hour hold.
The New York-based vegan, clean and cruelty-free brand counts celebrities Hailey Bieber and Lana Del Rey among its clientele.
4. Dior’s Backstage Rosy Glow blush
Thanks to rumours that Kylie Jenner’s make-up artist Ariel Tejada uses the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow blush on the beauty mogul for that “baby-doll glam” look, the product quickly became a viral favourite among TikTok users. The blush’s unique formula delivers a customised colour for every complexion and, in June, welcomed two new shades: Rosewood and Cherry.
5. Pat McGrath Labs’ LiquiLust Legendary Wear lipstick
Per Lifestyle Asia, the “Cruel Summer” singer’s go-to lipstick throughout her Eras tour has been Pat McGrath’s LiquiLust Legendary Wear lipstick in the shade Elson 4.
The matt lipstick provides a smudge-proof, lightweight finish and comes in 14 different shades, if Swift’s signature pout is not to your taste.
6. Utan’s freckle pen
TikTok’s obsession with Hailey Bieber and her sun-kissed “strawberry girl” make-up has inspired a new trend where freckles are all the rage.
Several influencers tried to replicate the beauty marks on themselves by dotting fake freckles on with eyeliner, while some even stained their skin with henna to achieve the look.
Luckily, Bieber came to the internet’s rescue with a make-up tutorial she posted in August. According to the video, she uses the Utan freckle pen to draw on her faux freckles.
7. Nudestix’ Nudies matt cream bronzer
8. Color Wow’s Dream Coat Supernatural spray
