Thais want to show their true colours

Thongchai Jaidee and Prayad Marksaeng will be decked out in Thailand's national colours as they bid for glory at Mission Hills today.

The Thai duo will use matching strips of white, blue and red shirts - colours of the Thai national flag - in the opening three rounds and will wear a yellow strip as a show of respect to the king of Thailand in Sunday's final round.

Prayad said it was Thongchai's idea to use matching kits. 'We hope that this will inspire us,' said Prayad, a five-time winner on the Asian Tour. 'We're a team, and it's not an individual event this week. So it's very important to look like a team,' said Thongchai, featuring in his maiden World Cup.
