Recap by phillip woo

Punted late Golden Fairy eventually drew clear after emerging the clear-cut leader as things were sorted out for the front 1,300m out for a second win from his past four starts. It was a solid effort at his first go over the 2,000m after succeeding over the Valley 2,200m in January. Favourite Joyful Champion stayed on nicely for second after a prominent run on the fence. He was able to back up a last start win over the dirt 1,800m. Green Laser closed off well with one wider out for third after a patient ride two from the rear. It was another honest effort. Arthur's Kingdom ran on steadily from better than midfield to just get his head down for fourth. He has shown improvement in recent runs. Leather Master came from last to just miss the frame. He has finished a non-threatening fifth in two of five starts this term. Diamond Winner ran on without threatening from towards the rear. He has had a lot of racing and appears to need a break.
