Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (411) - GREAT PROFITS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 FLYING MOJITO (G412) L Ferraris Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 WINNING DATA (H230) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 LUCKY ETERNITY (G478) Y L Chung Near the 650 Metres brushed the running rail when positioned close to WINNING DATA.
After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that from the inside barrier he endeavoured to obtain a forward position with cover to assist his mount in travelling comfortably.
He said throughout the early and middle stages LUCKY ETERNITY travelled only fairly and was one-paced to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 ME TIME (J074) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 6 PING HAI COMET (H344) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 WINNING STEPS (G420) A Badel Bumped near the 1450 Metres when racing tight to the inside of FLYING MOJITO.
Horse No 8 ROBOT FIGHTER (H309) C L Chau Shortly after the start was bumped by WINNING STEPS which shifted in and away from ME TIME.
Near the 1450 Metres bumped with WINNING STEPS.
Near the 600 Metres raced tight between STRONGEST BOY and CAN'T GO WONG which shifted out slightly.
Horse No 9 BEER PALACE (H361) H Bentley From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 CIRCUIT NINE (G140) A Atzeni Slow to begin.
Horse No 11 DEVAS TWELVE (H435) M Chadwick After the 400 Metres was shifted to the outside of PING HAI COMET to secure clear running and then lay in for some distance thereafter.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 FOREVER FOLKS (G463) A Hamelin Jumped only fairly.
Passing the 300 Metres was steadied away from PING HAI COMET when held up for clear running behind that runner.
Was then shifted to the inside of PING HAI COMET approaching the 200 Metres, but then became held up for clear running behind MASTER HERO and did not obtain clear running until near the 100 Metres when it shifted to the inside of PING HAI COMET to do so.
Horse No 14 CAN'T GO WONG (H087) M F Poon Near the 300 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between FLYING MOJITO and WINNING STEPS before being shifted to the inside of FLYING MOJITO approaching the 250 Metres to obtain clear running.
Then raced tight between FLYING MOJITO and DEVAS TWELVE for some distance thereafter.
Horse No SUPER CONTENTED (H251) K De Melo Withdrawn on 11.2.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter BEER PALACE.
Before being allowed to race again, SUPER CONTENTED will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Winning Data was too good after surging to the lead near the 300m after peeling off the leader for a clear run soon after straightening for a third win despite a rise in trip from his past four starts. Devas Twelve just got the better of Strongest Boy for second after a one-off trip from midfield. It was a career-best effort. Strongest Boy made good ground late near the outside to just miss second after biding his time four from the rear and three wide with cover. He's not far off a winning run. Can't Go Wong ran on well for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He can bob up at any moment after going much better in three of his past four starts. Beer Palace closed off nicely to finish next best after making his run one from the rear. He's improved with racing. Circuit Nine ran on without threatening down the outside after a slow start. Favourite Lucky Eternity only plodded after getting held up and then hampered 150m after a prominent run on the fence. He had an excuse. Forever Folks was badly held up the entire straight.
