Angela Lee will run the AAPI 5k in New York on May 6 in honour of her sister Victoria Lee, who died aged 18 last December.
The ONE Championship atomweight MMA champion will complete the challenge with her husband and fellow fighter Bruno Pucci, as well as their infant daughter.
A community fun run celebrating Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the event will raise funds for local AAPI non-profits, including the Asian Mental Health Collective.
“We will be doing this event in honour of Victoria,” 26-year-old Angela wrote in an Instagram post.
“One of the places my sister always dreamed of going to was New York. I know her spirit will be there alongside us as we celebrate her and remember her. If you are in NYC or anywhere nearby, I encourage you to come out to this event.”
“If you’re unable to make it to NYC for the 5k, you are more than welcome to sign up virtually and do a 5k from wherever you are at,” Lee added in another post.
“Find a beautiful hike or walk and just enjoy being outdoors in nature for a bit.”
“Unstoppable” Angela’s older brother – “The Warrior” Christian Lee – is also a champion in ONE, holding divisional MMA titles at lightweight and welterweight,

Their younger brother, 17-year-old Adrian Lee, won an amateur MMA title in Hawaii just days before Victoria’s death. “Super proud of my little bro,” she wrote, in what was her final Instagram post.
Adrian also won the Hawaii high school state wrestling title in February, with the family proudly watching on in their first public appearance together since Victoria’s death.
It is unknown if Angela or Christian will return to competition in ONE, with chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong telling the Post last month he will seek their blessing to create interim titles in their divisions.
Angela Lee and Pucci also recently celebrated the second birthday of their daughter, Ava Marie.
“Life is beautiful in all seasons,” Lee wrote in another post last week.
“On this day, 2 years ago, Bruno and I were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby girl. Fast forward to today and it is now the eve of Ava’s second birthday!
“We love you Ava. Our witty, strong, independent girl. You fill us with love each and every day. You are our greatest joy.”
