‘Utterly disgusting behaviour’ – Ex-UFC star Michael Bisping blasts Egyptian coach after disturbing video shows him punching and kicking small child during ‘workout’

  • Video circulating on social media angers England’s UFC Hall of Famer after ‘coach’ punches and kicks a small child no older than six years old
  • Egyptian wushu federation says they will not be taking action against the MMA instructor and would instead be helping him become a certified coach

The mixed martial arts world has reacted with horror and outrage after a video circulating on social media showed an Egyptian coach knocking and kicking a child during “training” in Egypt.

In the video, a man who appears to be middle-aged, punches and kicks the boy, who looks no older than six, in front of other young students on the mat.

The child is wearing safety head gear and boxing gloves and gets up every time he gets violently knocked down to the ground by the much bigger coach in what appears to be a sparring session.

In another video, the same coach can be seen kicking an older boy until he falls to the ground.

Several MMA stars took turns to condemn the coach, with retired UFC fighter Michael Bisping calling the Egyptian coach a “sad little bully” on his Instagram account. Many others described the workout akin to “child abuse” and wanted the coach removed.

“This is just utterly disgusting behaviour from a so called martial arts instructor. Just a sad little bully,” wrote Bisping.

Many users agreed with Bisping, with one user saying: “I hope there will be a follow up video of this guy getting the **** kicked out of him. Disgusting how he is getting away with this. Poor kids bless them all!.”

“That guy should be ashamed of himself,’ Bisping said on Fight CAT podcast on YouTube.

“That guy is an absolutely piece of ****. That coach obviously had some insecurities about himself. They feel better by taking down young children doing that, trying to make him feel like a big man. A little five, six or seven year old, of course, won’t be able to compete against you and he’s absolutely defenceless.

“It’s disgusting and it’s horrible, that’s child abuse. That’s assault. That guy should go to prison or be locked in a cage with a real fighter someone who is the same size and strength and same martial arts ability, maybe he’s a bad ass. I’d love to get my hands on him.”

The Egyptian instructor has been identified as “Helal” and the incident took place in a gym in Egypt. According to Helal’s profile, he lives in Alexandria and works as a martial arts coach. His Facebook and Instagram profiles have been attacked by angry users after the videos first surfaced last week.

The video originated from Instagram user mcdojolife who said in a posting the coach was an uncertified wushu kung fu instructor from Egypt.

Mcdojolife left the coach’s name and telephone number on their account for people who wanted to give a piece of their mind to him. “[A] letter from the Egyptian Wushu Kung-Fu federation stating that they are not going to seek any further action against this coach but will be helping him become a certified coach,” said mcdojolife.

However, the disturbing video didn’t land Helal in trouble it seems. He’s still teaches at the same gym. He told a local journalist he had done nothing wrong and will continue his work as a coach to the children.

Meanwhile, the video made other fighters’ blood boil with former cruiserweight boxing champion Tony Bellew, of Britain, itching to teach the coach the lesson.

“Please give me just a round with this p**** in a boxing ring and he’ll never behave like this again the cowardice c****!”
