At 25, Kylian Mbappé already is one of football’s biggest names across the globe, as the star striker for his club Paris Saint-Germain and captain of the French national team. Having won the Fifa World Cup with France in 2018, he narrowly missed out on repeating the feat in 2022, with Les Bleus losing to Argentina in the final in Doha. Despite a quiet start to the game, Mbappé went on to become only the second man to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final.

There’s no doubt that Mbappé’s exploits have won the hearts of fans the world over: he has amassed 113 million followers on Instagram alone at the time of writing. The striker is following in the footsteps of David Beckham and Lionel Messi off the pitch too, leveraging his footballing success to open up other business opportunities.

In 2022, his company Zebra Valley even signed a deal with the NBA to co-create content to engage fans, setting Mbappé on his way to expanding his clout beyond his own sport.

According to reports from The Athletic, Mbappé is currently taking home one of the biggest salaries in football, setting PSG back €200 million (US$213 million) in 2024. The player, however, doesn’t seem to be driven entirely by money. Per Sky Sports, he is rumoured to be prepared to take a pay cut to join Real Madrid this summer.

Of course, such big pay cheques fuel a glamorous lifestyle and a love of luxury goods. In particular, the striker has a passion for luxury watches: he has been brand ambassador for Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot since 2018, and has been spotted wearing many of its creations.

He can certainly afford the timepieces too, since it’s reported that he earns £1 million (US$1.2 million) a year from the brand, according to Sport Pro. His collection includes the gem-bezel Big Bang Unico Titanium Rainbow and Big Bang E Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 smartwatch.

Here’s a peek into Mbappé’s luxury watch collection.

It seems the football star is a huge fan of the Spirit of Big Bang aesthetic, owning a gold version of this timepiece, which features a chronograph movement similar to the Titanium White Pave number.

Mbappé is among the first to wear this new watch, which is likely one of his latest acquisitions. The Uefa Euro 2024 rendition of this connected watch has been created especially for the event, and is a follow-up to the version that was launched for the 2022 Fifa World Cup.

Mbappé’s appetite for watches goes beyond Hublot. He is an avid collector and owns pieces from Audemars Piguet and Rolex, among other top brands. However, since his relationship with Hublot, he seems to have cast these other timepieces aside and now wears Hublots exclusively.

Before his relationship with Hublot, he was often spotted wearing an Audemars Piguet classics, the Royal Oak Offshore. That and the Royal Oak are among the most popular references from Audemars Piguet, and are favoured by celebrities, rappers and athletes alike.

Mbappé’s version is a chronograph and is paired with a classic Royal Oak Offshore rubber strap.
