Ever since Richard Mille introduced its first timepiece in 2001, its watches have become highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Combining the best of cutting-edge innovative technology with a strong artistic and architectural dimension, each timepiece is finished and assembled by hand, and embodies the finest in haute horlogerie.

Its latest RM 07-01 automatic collection is no exception. Signalling a new paradigm for luxury watches, it is a marriage of the delicate and the sophisticated, and offers women an unmistakably modern timepiece that embodies the same level of expertise and technical innovation showcased in the brand’s men’s collections.

The RM 07-01 eschews all conventions with its touch of colour, elegance and incredible ergonomics. At the heart of its open design is the in-house CRMA2 calibre, a skeletonised automatic movement specifically developed for this collection.

Other exceptional features include a variable-geometry rotor that ensures optimal energy production based on the wearer’s activity level and a fast-rotating barrel. A free-sprung balance wheel is the ultimate in innovation and guarantees greater reliability when subjected to shocks.

The CRMA2 calibre works in symbiosis with the emblematic barrel-shaped case and grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges which are micro blasted and then treated with an electroplasma finish. This emphasises the beauty and shape of the case, creating an airy bright look.

Precision assembly by hand makes every watch an outstanding example of horology

The balanced proportions of the watch make it an ideal showcase for a range of precious materials like red gold, white gold, Carbon TPT and Gold Carbon TPT, ATZ white and TZP black ceramic. The ceramic used is unique to watchmaking and is known for its unparalleled hardness, which renders it extraordinarily resistant to scratches and abrasions.

Richard Mille is known for its innovation with ultra-durable ceramics

Combinations are limitless, allowing the imagination to roam free. At the centre of the 18k red or white gold dial are diamonds, black sapphires, jasper, onyx, mother of pearl or Carbon TPT. Some white and red gold pieces are brought to life with the band’s diamond snow setting. Red gold prongs are individually manufactured and meticulously polished to hold the set diamonds on the ceramic itself, making the timepiece as much a work of art as it is a technical masterpiece.

Open-link bracelets are offered in red or white gold snow-set options

As a final detail, women can also choose from various bracelet options, all of which ensure unrivalled comfort on the wrist while expressing a unique sense of style. This includes the open link bracelet, a collection exclusive which comes in three combinations: snow-set for both white and red gold, and red gold with Carbon TPT.
