What’s Umar Kamani’s background?
According to Business Insider, Umar hails from the billionaire family behind fast fashion brand, Boohoo. Umar and his brother Adam co-founded PrettyLittleThing, an apparel brand targeted at women aged between 16 and 24, in 2012.
However, last year he announced that he was stepping down from the company to pursue “new challenges and goals” after Boohoo bought out the last remaining 34 per cent minority stake owned by Umar, per Drapers Online.

Nevertheless, the company continues to spark backlash for its practices and reportedly has low sustainability score ratings.
