He has been married twice
He tied the knot with Oscar-winning actress Goldie Hawn, Kate and Oliver’s mother, in 1976, but they divorced in 1982. He married his second wife, Cindy Williams, in 1982 and they split up in 2000.
Hawn went on to date Kurt Russell in 1983, and they’ve been together ever since. They share a son, Wyatt Russell.

Kate and Oliver have spoken up about their estranged dad over the years. In an interview on Sunday Today, Kate said, “It’s a 41-year-old issue.”

Back in 2015, Bill did a controversial interview where he claimed that Kate and Oliver are “dead” to him. “I had five birth children, but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognise Oliver and Kate as my own,” he said. “They are no longer a part of my life.”

In June that year, Oliver posted an Instagram caption that read “happy abandonment day … @KateHudson” alongside an image of their estranged father.
