They didn’t pay extra for the Vegas Elvis, though: “If we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed,” she wrote in her newsletter to fans.

Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49, dated back in 2002 on the set of Gigli and got engaged the same year, but broke it off in 2004. J. Lo went on to marry Marc Anthony the same year, while Affleck tied the knot with Jennifer Garner. Nearly 20 years later, both had divorced their previous partners, and Lopez and Affleck rekindled their relationship in late 2021.

1. The wedding she “doesn’t count” – Ojani Noa (1997-1998)

Before the Bronx-born starlet landed her big break as the lead in Selena, she met Cuban-born Ojani Noa, a waiter in a Miami restaurant owned by Gloria Estefan. The lovebirds got married in February 1997, but broke it off after just 11 months together. Although not much is known about the wedding itself, Lopez looked ethereal in her classy lace dress and had her hair pulled back in a bun adorned with white flowers.

Lopez later told fans in a tour diary YouTube video: “I’ve been married three times, and once was nine months and once was 11 months, so I don’t really count those.” Her ex-husband now lives a quiet life, but still regularly posts photos of himself looking ripped on Instagram.

2. The “circus” wedding – Cris Judd (2001-2003)

Three years after the On the Floor pop diva divorced her first hubby, she wed her former backup dancer Cris Judd in Calabasas with 170 guests in attendance, with her then-manager Benny Medina as the best man, according to InStyle. Lopez was a vision in white with her gorgeous lace Valentino number, her hair in an up-do and a veil. A train followed behind and she was all smiles as she walked down the aisle.

But it was all too much for Judd, who wasn’t prepared for the media spectacle that followed. “You know it’s very tough. Your privacy is breached. You’re no longer a normal person,” he told US Weekly years after they divorced, “[Our wedding] was a circus. I think several people got arrested trying to climb up a mountain … trying to sneak in. We actually rented the airspace.”

The couple filed for divorce in 2002 and it was finalised by 2003. Lopez started dating Affleck soon after, fuelling cheating rumours at the time, which she strenuously denied.

3. The mystery wedding – Marc Anthony (2004-2014)

Held in the backyard of the Maid in Manhattan beauty’s Beverly Hills estate in June 2004, J. Lo enjoyed her longest marriage with Marc Anthony. The wedding was also the most private of the three to that point, with virtually no images to be found online – besides a couple of sneaky paparazzi snaps.

Only 40 guests were invited for the secret ceremony, with Lopez donning a stunning strapless Vera Wang gown and shimmering in Neil Lane jewellery for her (third) big day. With Lopez having just split from Affleck months before, and Anthony having only divorced his first wife, model Dayanara Torres, a few days prior, this wedding raised more eyebrows than most!

4. The Vegas wedding – Ben Affleck (2022-present)

Lopez wore two gowns for her nuptials, the first of which she said was from “an old movie”.

A representative of British brand Alexander McQueen confirmed to People magazine that the gown was in fact one of theirs.

After changing at the chapel, she put on her second dress from Zuhair Murad’s spring/summer 2023 bridal collection. The showstopping gown boasted a white lace, off-the-shoulder silhouette with long sleeves, corset bodice, a sweetheart neckline and a fishtail train, all matched with her lace trim veil, per People. She wore her hair down in bouncy curls, and opted for a soft smoky eye, highlighter and soft nude pink lips.

She wrote that Affleck, meanwhile, wore a jacket from his wardrobe. “Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things – and worth waiting for,” she added. Fourth time’s a charm!
