He is his father’s doppelgänger

In February, Lopez’s twins turned 14. While Max tends to keep a low profile compared to the rest of his family, it’s undeniable that the young teen is growing into a handsome young man – and looks more like his father every day.

In 2015, Lopez described her twins to the Latin Times: “Their personalities are beautiful; they’re like yin and yang. They stay true to who they were from when they were born.” She continued, “Emme is like a mini-me; Max is really like a mini-Marc. They’re complete opposites.”

He wants to be an actor

Even when they were young, Max and Emme reportedly showed a proclivity for the arts. Lopez once said in an interview that the pair both loved music and had been taking piano and voice lessons.

However, while Emme made their singing debut with mum on the 2020 Super Bowl stage, Max appears to be leaning more towards acting. The teenager made his debut in this year’s film Marry Me opposite his mum.

The Waiting for Tonight diva told El Gordo y la Flaca that it was her family who had gently urged Max to take on the small part in the film. “They encouraged him by saying: ‘Do it, do it, you’re going to enjoy it,’” she said, adding: “He had a great time, and he wants to do it more. He wants to be an actor.”

This should come as no surprise given that both of his parents have of course themselves starred in a string of films and television shows. Anthony was last seen opposite Lin-Manuel Miranda in the musical In the Heights (2021).

When asked to describe their brother to E! last year, Emme said: “OK, so my brother … he’s crazy sometimes, he’s very loud in a good way of course, sometimes.”

Emme revealed more about their bond to People magazine: “Max and I have a special relationship. Since we were very little, I could always understand him when no one else could.” Aww!

He is reportedly close to Ben Affleck

A source close to the couple revealed to In Touch Weekly that “Ben bonded with Emme over her sense of humour and her love of music. She was surprised and impressed that he knew who Billie Eilish was. Max and Ben connected over movies and video games.”

The twins also appear to get on well with Affleck’s children, in particular Seraphina and Samuel. A source reportedly close to the children’s parents told Life & Style that “they are all super close”.

He has a big heart and a wicked sense of humour

Max’s A-list mum has often talked about how she adores his quirky and fun personality. In 2019, the Hustlers star made an adorable YouTube video where she let her twins ask her random questions.

Little Max fired the first question, asking Lopez “what was the most trouble that you got in when you were my age?”

Laughing aloud, Lopez said: “I used to get in trouble all the time. Well, first of all, I was a little bit like Max, I used to love to run and play.”

The proud mum also told her viewers in the video why she loved Max, saying: “My favourite thing about Max is his sense of humour and his incredible vocabulary. Also your big heart, you have an enormous heart, and you’re caring and I love that about you.”
