Two Turkish fishermen rescued an 18-month-old Syrian toddler and his family in the Aegean sea on October 21 after the boat carrying them towards the Greek islands sank near the Turkish holiday resort of Kusadasi.

Sekar, a 62-year-old camera technician living in the city of Chennai, is better known as India's "Birdman".
He has been feeding about 4,000 wild parakeets twice a day for 10 years on the rooftop of his home.
The bird enthusiast spends 40 per cent of his income on their feed and gets up at 4am everyday to prepare food for his feathered friends.
“I don’t have anything other than these birds, Sekar says in this mini-documentary produced by Barcroft TV. "My life revolves around these birds.”
